Owslebury Crankshaft Services, Hampshire’s leading automotive engine machining centre recently opened its doors to Andover College Motor Vehicle Students.
John Gray (Proprietor) and No 1 engineer Mike showed the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Students the complete process of engine restoration, including crack testing crankshafts, honing and polishing, measuring components and setting up of the various machines.
We were treated to a variety of demonstrations giving the students real time experience of methods and processes that are all part of their Engine Overhauling unit, backing up all the theory knowledge they had learnt in the classroom.
The visit was a great success and the knowledge and expertise of the staff shone through, having a very positive effect on all that attended. All the staff and students from Andover College level 3 Motor Vehicle would like to thank Owslebury Crankshafts for an outstanding learning experience.
