Precision Engine Balancing
Enhance your engine's performance and efficiency with our expert balancing and lightweighting services.

Enhance Your Engine's Efficiency through Balancing
Engine component balancing is crucial for maximising performance and efficiency in both high-performance motorsport engines and commercial units. Our comprehensive balancing service ensures your engine runs smoothly, while our crankshaft and flywheel lightening options enhance your vehicle's overall performance.

Comprehensive Engine Balancing Services for Performance
Flywheel lightening
We offer flywheel lightening, slotting and repitching for high performance and motorsport use.
Flywheel balancing
Balancing of flywheel to ensure there no vibration or imbalance in the rotating assembly.
Reface brake disk
Machining the brake disk surface to remove vibration and distortion – a cheaper alternative to replacement.
Skim brake drum
Machining to remove vibration and distortion on drums – a cheaper alternative to replacement.
Full engine balancing
Balancing of structural and operational components in an engine helps to improve longevity and performance as well as increasing power and efficiencies. OCS is able to balance all major engine components that will deliver smooth and improved performance.
Con rod balancing
In order to ensure the rotating assembly in the engine runs vibration free, we offer end-to-end balancing of the con rods to ensure there are all identical.
FAQs
Your most frequent questions answered.
Yes, we can balance a flywheel individually preferably with the pressure plate without needing the crank. However, if the customer wants the complete rotating assembly balanced together, we will need the crankshaft removed and sent in with the relevant components.
For a full rotating assembly balance, ideally, we would need the crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, piston pins, rings, bearings, flywheel/flexplate, clutch cover and crank pulley/damper where applicable. Basically, anything that rotates with or directly affects the balance of the crank assembly.
This depends heavily on the type of work and condition of the component, so it is difficult to give a universal price or turnaround. We would normally ask for the engine/component details and the work required, then quote accordingly. Turnaround can also vary depending on current workshop workload and whether any additional work is found during inspection. Typically 2-4 weeks
